Teriyaki Sauce
- Prep time 10 mins
- Cook time 5 mins
- Ready in 15 mins
- Yield 1-3/4 cups
This delicious teriyaki sauce is quick to make, and so much better than store bought. Use it in my Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon recipe!
Directions
- In a small pot, mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, white sugar, mirin, water and ginger. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes.
- In a separat bowl, mix together the 1 Tb cornstarch with 1 Tb water.
- While whisking the soy sauce mixture over medium heat, add the cornstarch-water mixture and simmer, whisking constantly, until the sauce has thickened slightly and the starch has cooked properly (no starchy taste remains), about 3 minutes longer.
- Remove from heat and add minced garlic. Let cool. Place in a glass jar in the fridge, or use immediately in the Air Fryer Teriyaki Salmon recipe.
