Smoothies are a great way to pack some nutrition into your system. If you are short on time, you should always have 5 minutes to whip up a smoothie for the road and this one does a good job of covering your nutritional bases.
Directions
- If you think of it, soak the sunflower seeds overnight on the counter in water with a pinch of salt.
- Peel the mango with a veggie peeler and then carefully cut the flesh off of the pit. Add the mango to a blender along with the yogurt, strawberries, apple, sunflower seeds and liquid of your choice.
- Puree until very smooth and then add the greens powder and puree for 5 seconds more. The reason you add the greens at the end is that these powders can be heat sensitive and blender blades create heat.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the vitamin rush.
Variations
If you want to use fresh strawberries instead of frozen, make sure to add some ice as well.
