Olive Almond Tapenade
- Prep time 15 mins
The anti-oxidant and monounsaturated goodness of olives are enhanced by polyunsaturated goodness in almonds making for a very healthy and tasty spread.
Directions
- Place the almonds in a bag and break up with a mallet or the bottom of a healthy pot.
- Place the olives, almonds, shallots, garlic, parsley and pepper in the food processor and pulse until everything is coarsely chopped. If you don’t have a food processor, then you can make this recipe by chopping everything by hand.
- Add the olive oil slowly and pulse to incorporate until you get the right consistency.
Variations
- Use this awesome spread in sandwiches, as a dip, or on top of chicken or steak!
