This simple spice rub is a fantastic way to take your grilling to the next level. It is super simple like all spice rubs, once you have the ingredients on hand. Happy grilling.
Directions
- You can make this spice rub in smaller or larger quantities. Just go ahead and eyeball (or measure) equal parts of all of the ingredients except maybe a little easier on the ground pepper. Unless you love, like I do.
- Now you are ready to use on your burgers, steaks or even to add some pizzaz to your potato salad, scrambled eggs or stir-fry.
- When I am making burgers, I lightly form my patties using grass fed, grass finished Island Pastures Beef. I do not add anything to the meat! Then at the last moment just before grilling or even as they are on the grill I season liberally with this delicious spice rub and boom! Next level burger. Adding salt into your burger mix before cooking has the potential of creating more of a sausage effect, so for a nice tender delicate patty, spice up at the last minute.
Variations
Add some heat to the spice rub with Cayenne or Chipotle Chili powder.
