Assistant Produce Manager- Full-Time

Our Chemainus location is looking for a strong leader to join our team as the Assistant Produce Manager! Reporting to the Produce Manager, you will co-lead operations of the Produce department to ensure an exceptional level of customer service and quality product is consistently maintained.

Schedule Requirements:

• Availability to work a flexible schedule including evening, weekends ,and holidays

What will you do:

• Oversee the produce department when the Produce Manager is not present on the floor; training, and scheduling work assignments.
• Supervise and training team members;
• Maintain product displays and signage
• Keep shelves stocked, organized and clean
• Receive orders and confirm shipments
• Perform other duties as required

• The ability to strike up a conversation and communicate with anyone

• A willingness to learn and openness to coaching and feedback
• The ability to comply with established department procedures and safe work practices

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely bend, twist and lift up to 50 lbs on a consistent basis
• Ability to walk and stand for the duration of scheduled shift
• Ability to maintain a safe working environment and follow all safety procedures

Education and Experience:

• 3 years’ previous produce experience is required
• 2 years’ previous leadership experience is required
